This is one of the key points that most commonly leads to refusals. UKVI requires proof that you have sufficient funds to cover tuition and living expenses. The key is the 28-day rule: the required amount must have been in your bank account (or your sponsor’s account) for at least 28 consecutive days. The bank statement must be dated no earlier than 31 days before your application submission.
What you need to demonstrate
Tuition fees. The amount for the first year of study (or the full course cost if shorter than one year) as stated in your CAS.
Living costs in the UK. A fixed amount for each month of study (up to 9 months):
- In London: £1529 per month
